            Through the female lineage the Stuarts were also descended from Col. Henry Smith through his son, Henry III.  This linkage connected them to the Smiths of Smithfield.

 

The House Where Flora Cook Stuart, the Widow of Jeb Stuart, Lived After His Death in 1864.  The House Belonged to W. A. Stuart, and Had Been Built About 1795 For One of the Original Owners of Saltville, Wm. King
